Introduction

Easy Peeler LLC ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Rante mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your information when you use the App.

By using Rante, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect information provided through your sign-in method:

  • Email address
  • Name (if provided via Apple Sign-In or Google)
  • Profile image URL (if provided by your sign-in provider)

Voice Recordings & Audio

Rante records audio through your device microphone when you choose to create a rant. Voice recordings are:

  • Stored locally on your device until synced
  • Uploaded to our cloud storage (Cloudflare R2) for processing
  • Sent to our transcription provider (Deepgram) for speech-to-text conversion

Post Content

When you use Rante to create posts, we process and store:

  • Transcribed text from your voice recordings
  • AI-generated post drafts
  • Your edits to generated drafts
  • Published post content and metadata
  • Media attachments you add to posts (images, videos, GIFs)

X (Twitter) Account Data

When you connect your X account, we receive and store:

  • X username and display name
  • X profile image URL
  • OAuth access and refresh tokens (encrypted)
  • Account subscription type and verified status

Usage Data

We store operational data necessary for the App to function:

  • Post templates you create
  • Scheduling preferences (time slots, timezone)
  • Processing status and cost tracking for AI operations

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Authenticate your identity and maintain your account
  • Transcribe your voice recordings into text
  • Generate AI-crafted post drafts from your transcriptions
  • Publish posts, replies, and quote-posts to X on your behalf
  • Schedule posts for future publishing
  • Sync your data across sessions and devices
  • Provide offline functionality with local data storage

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.

Third-Party Services

We share your data with the following third-party services, solely to provide the App's functionality:

Clerk (Authentication)

Handles user sign-in and session management. Receives your email, name, and profile image.

Our backend platform that stores your account data, rants, templates, and scheduling information. Hosted in EU (Ireland).

Deepgram (Transcription)

Processes your voice recordings to produce text transcriptions. Audio data is sent to Deepgram for this purpose.

OpenRouter & Anthropic (AI Processing)

Your transcribed text is sent through OpenRouter to Anthropic Claude language models to generate polished post drafts. No audio data is shared — only text.

Cloudflare R2 (Cloud Storage)

Stores your audio recordings and media attachments. Files are uploaded via authenticated, time-limited URLs. Hosted in Western Europe.

X API (Publishing)

When you publish a post, the post text and any media attachments are sent to X (Twitter) via their API. Your published content is governed by X's terms and privacy policy.

Data Storage & Security

On-Device Storage

Rante stores data locally on your device using an encrypted SQLite database and the iOS file system. Authentication tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain, which provides hardware-backed encryption.

Cloud Storage

Server-side data is stored in Convex (EU — Ireland) and Cloudflare R2 (Western Europe). All data in transit is protected with TLS/HTTPS encryption. X OAuth tokens are stored encrypted on the server.

Data Retention

  • Rants and posts: Retained until you delete them through the App.
  • Audio recordings: Stored in cloud storage after processing. Local copies are removed after successful sync.
  • Media attachments: Retained in cloud storage until you delete the associated rant.
  • Account data: Retained as long as your account is active.
  • X connection: OAuth tokens are retained until you disconnect your X account.

Your Rights & Choices

  • Delete rants: You can delete individual rants at any time from the Queue screen.
  • Disconnect X: You can disconnect your X account from the Profile screen at any time.
  • Delete your account: Contact us at support@rante.app to request full account deletion, including all associated data.
  • Data export: Contact us to request a copy of your data.
  • Revoke microphone access: You can disable microphone permission at any time via iOS Settings, though this will prevent recording new rants.

Analytics & Tracking

Rante does not include any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We do not collect device identifiers (IDFA), IP addresses for tracking, or behavioral analytics. The App's privacy nutrition label on the App Store reflects this minimal data collection approach.

Children's Privacy

Rante is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
